Our Music Is Our Culture.

Residents and visitors come from all over the world to take part in musical events like Celtic Colours, our traditional ceilidhs, concerts and kitchen parties. Our expressions of culture are varied, too. You’ll find easy access to traditional Cape Breton fiddling, but also to folk and world music, and classical concerts.

There’s lots of traditional story-telling, but our writers are also novelists, poets, historians, humorists. We’re home to the St. Ann’s Bay Players, the Cabot Trail Writers Festival, and the Gaelic College of Celtic Arts and Crafts. Our growing selection of restaurants reflects our cultural heritage.
