Jitka came to Cape Breton in 1999 and launched herself into pottery. Inspired by the environment and the desire to see her practical art at work in “good homes”, Jitka crafts unique pieces of functional pottery – art that you can use every day. Microwave and dishwasher safe.
Her work is available at the Colouratura Art Gallery, Trinkets and Treasures, and The Dancing Moose along the Cabot Trail, at the Victoria County Creates (VCC) in Baddeck and the Centre for Craft and Design in Sydney. If you are interested in a custom piece or would just like to drop in to see how the studio works, it is located in Wreck Cove on the Cabot Trail at 42164.
