Restaurant 100 KM uses an amazing variety of local meats, seafood, cheeses, vegetables and fruit from within 100 kilometers to serve an acclaimed regional cuisine that was recognized on Vacay.ca’s list of 50 Top Restaurants in the country. The menu changes daily based upon what is fresh and organic, including handpicked additions like chanterelles. Each evening’s menu offers unique vegetarian, meat/poultry, and seafood entrées served with house-baked rustic artisan bread. Soups, salads and desserts are also all made in-house. From the sauce making to the plating, the attention to detail stands out, and the relaxed fine dining atmosphere is complete with panoramic mountain views from every table.
Dinner is served every evening in the dining room or on the screened verandah from 6 – 9 pm. Every effort is made to accommodate special dietary requirements, and the kitchen is even able to plan dishes accordingly ahead of time.
Restaurant 100 KM has a fully licensed bar with a focus on Nova Scotian wine and beer from Cape Breton. The extensive collection of single malt scotches piques many visitors’ interest as well.
Included for inn guests is a Hot & Cold Breakfast Buffet with fresh fruit, house-baked goods, granola, goat yogurt, eggs, pancakes or French toast, organic coffee, tea, and more. Cottage and outside guests welcome for $15 per person.
